1. Acceptance

By using festivehelper.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time, and the date above shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

2. What FestiveHelper provides

FestiveHelper provides free, informational tools: holiday countdowns and calculators for gift budgets, turkey cooking times, Christmas lights and discounts, along with a Secret Santa name generator. The tools are offered for personal and everyday household or workplace use.

3. Estimates, not professional advice

All results are estimates provided for general guidance only. They are not professional advice of any kind, including culinary, food safety, nutritional, electrical, financial or legal advice.

Food safety in particular: cooking times depend on your oven, the starting temperature of the food and many other factors. Poultry is safe to eat only when a food thermometer shows an internal temperature of 165 °F (74 °C) in the thickest parts of the thigh and breast and in the center of any stuffing. Always use a thermometer and follow the guidance of your national food safety authority. Do not rely on the calculator alone.

Electrical safety: lighting figures are a planning guide. Always follow the instructions and connection limits printed on the packaging of your lights, and use only lights rated for the location in which you install them.

4. Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep the calculations correct and the holiday dates accurate, but we do not warrant that the site or its content is error free, complete or uninterrupted. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FestiveHelper and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or its tools, including without limitation any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, or spoiled food, gifts or plans. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that attempts to gain unauthorized access to it. You may not scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other visitors, republish substantial parts of its written content as your own, or remove or obscure advertising.

7. Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, layout and source code of this site are owned by FestiveHelper and protected by copyright. You may use the tools freely and may link to any page. You may not copy substantial portions of the written content for publication elsewhere without written permission. All graphics on this site are original artwork created for it; no third-party characters, brands or logos are used.

8. Advertising and third-party links

This site carries third-party advertising and may link to external websites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. The appearance of an advertisement or a link is not an endorsement, and any dealings with an advertiser are solely between you and them.

9. Privacy

Use of the site is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains how cookies and advertising work here and confirms that the data you enter into the tools stays in your browser.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you live.
